My TeeVee.org in association with Stamps.com Presents...

AOL MailMy Mailbag

The most important part to any Web enterprise -- right after high click-through rates and a steady stream of recurring revenue -- is building a sense of community. Users like yourself need to have a voice, a place where you can tell us what's on your mind, where your opinion counts.

That's the idea behind My Mailbag, the latest in interactive feedback brought to you in association with Stamps.com, your online mail resource. Like the old TeeVee.org Mailbag feature, this channel is a place for you to sound off about the Web site, about your thoughts, about TV! But unlike the old feature -- which the old TeeVee staff used as a pulpit to denigrate and bully readers -- the brand new My Mailbag lets you call the shots. Gone are the tart insults, the unprovoked abuse and the lengthy, often tangential introductions that marked the old Mailbag. In its place, you'll find some decidedly old-fashioned values like courtesy and respect.

And, if we like your letter, we'll send you a My TeeVee.org T-shirt at 10% off retail price! And don't worry, folks -- the shipping and handling is on us.

So grab a pen and some paper -- a virtual pen and paper, that is! -- start licking those stamps -- purchased from Stamps.com, of course! -- and start flooding our inbox with e-mail. We can't wait to hear from you!

Dear My TeeVee.org:

OMORulz

Dear OMORulz:

That review of Odd Man Out was written by the old, now unemployed TeeVee staff. Suffice it to say that their negative attitude was part of the reason we decided to let them go. Like many of our readers, we think Odd Man Out is a terrific show. In fact, you might say that it's even money, you'll enjoy Odd Man Out.

And thanks for writing!

Dear My TeeVee.org:

who is the name of the guy that was in that show? I have money riding on this

ATSpear

Dear ATSpear:

You are, of course, speaking about the inimitable Claude Aikens of Sheriff Lobo fame. Please send us a cut of the money you win.

Just kidding! Thanks for writing!

Dear My TeeVee.org:

anon25263

Dear anon25263:

We're sorry your past visits to TeeVee.org have not been satisfactory. But rest assured, we've made some changes here, freshening up our attitude and chasing away the riff-raff whose personal lives you find so objectionable. My TeeVee.org is now family-friendly fun! And funny.

That's why we're sure My TeeVee.org will now be your TeeVee.org. OK, anon25263?

Dear My TeeVee.org,

Do you think the basic premise of "Quincy ME" -- a story of a medical examiner bucking the bureaucracy of his own office and doing an end-around an ineffective police force to bring criminals to justice -- represented the general malaise and distrust in familiar institutions that characterized post-Watergate America? And, if so, where does the character of Quincy fit in vis-a-vis Joseph Campbell's construct of the epic hero?

JLowell93

Dear JLowell93:

Absolutely.

Thanks for reading!

Dear My TeeVee.org,

I'm a big fan of the television show "Coach" which ran on ABC from 1989 to 1998. I love to watch old episodes of my favorite show, but it's hard to find them in syndication. Do you know where I could buy up old episodes of "Coach" or memorabilia from the show, like say a lock of Craig T. Nelson's hair? I'm dying to know!

Coach4Ever

Dear Coach4Ever:

We certainly know where you can satisfy your jones for Hayden Fox, Dawber and the rest of your favorites: At our very own My TeeVee Store, which sells old episodes, scripts and trinkets from many of your favorite programs.

Sadly, we have no Coach merchandise on sale as of yet. But the minute we do, we'll be sure to let you know, with a bombardment of e-mail sent straight to your mailbox. All you need is a credit card and a healthy love for all things TV!
