Have you ever imagined what it would be like to go to sleep as one sex and wake up as another? Find out in the groundbreaking new reality series Switch, hosted by long-time ABC star Jimmy Smits!
The four Switch contestants -- Steve, Jack, Hunter and Chuck -- must live their lives as women, complete with painful electrolysis and hormone treatments, mandatory breast implants, and a lot of duct tape. Contestants also receive expensive designer wardrobes, and a total makeover from series sponsor Lancome -- all of which is theirs to keep, even after the Switch finale.
Each week, our contestants are sent on a harrowing journey of self-discovery. Watch as womanizing Chuck attempts to reconnect with the women whose hearts he broke, Steve tries awkwardly to go on a date with the girl of his dreams in hopes of fulfilling his lesbian sexual fantasy, and Hunter attempts in vain to get service at the Macy's cosmetics counter.
Also, our four contestants will vie against each other in a series of
physical challenges -- running in high heels, walking past a construction site
filled with leering welders, convincing their dates to join them for a
matinee of "Divine Secrets Of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood." Challenge winners receive points and a
Lancome gift pack.
The show climaxes with an all-expenses paid trip to Thailand, where our contestants compete in a final series of challenges in the sex clubs of Bangkok. The contestant with the most points will be given $10,000 and the right to choose if he'd like to continue living as a woman -- courtesy of a sex-change operation paid for by ABC/Disney -- or if he'd prefer to have breast-reduction surgery and wake up again as a man. The losing contestants are on their own.
These dudes? They look like ladies! And each week on Switch you'll get to hear them roar.
