LOS ANGELES, March 31 — Despite saving a woman from a flaming car wreck, a local ER doctor insists he’s no one special.

The skies were cloudy, the radiation levels moderate, and the cream of Cylon civilization was present in droves for the opening of the first Caprica City Starbucks.
“I can’t do this all on my own,” said Dr. John Dorian, chief resident of Sacred Heart Hospital, crediting the success of Friday’s dramatic rescue to the hard work of EMTs, firefighters, and his fellow hospital staff members.
Dr. Dorian was riding his scooter to work when he saw a hit-and-run driver smash into a car driven by Gina Tribbiani, an executive assistant at a Hollywood studio. Despite the flames consuming her car, Dr. Dorian managed to free Ms. Tribbiani from the wreckage, pull her to safety, and stabilize her until paramedics arrived. Sacred Heart currently lists her in good condition in its recovery ward.
“I mean, I guess I save lives every day, but it’s nothing special,” Dr. Dorian said. “I’m no Superman. Although that would be nifty…” He then tilted his head to one side and looked up and to the right, as if imagining a whimsical scenario.
