For One Texas School, An Endless Football Season

Football
The state of Texas does love her football, but fans and players alike are decrying this region's experiment with a year-round football season.

“We use the stopwatch to help keep track of time,” said Steve Kroft, senior member of the group. “It’s useful.”

“I like to use it to time my interviews,” said correspondent Lesley Stahl. “It really pisses me off when one of the new kids takes it and doesn’t bring it back promptly.”

The group’s previous watch was retired when it was given to former correspondent Myron “Mike” Wallace as a retirement gift.

“I love stopwatches,” Wallace said. “That tick-tick-tick sound? It’s pure gold. I use it to lull myself to sleep at night.”
